I can imagine, Medieval monastaries were really, REALLY rich. Centers of wealth, religion, knowledge and sometimes pretty nice damn whine and beer :stare:

Here you find wine. It was a very long time the biggest wine yard in this region, bigger as the ones of the nobility, and very famous for there good wines ;-)

Yup those German monks sure could make wine. Remember one classical artist, he really loved drawing chubby monks enjoying a big goblet of the stuff. I guess satire.
